READY TO WORK FOR OUR COMMUNITY
Marquita Bushrod grew up in Nyack, New York with her parents and two younger brothers, before relocating with her family to Lynchburg, Virginia at the age of 14. She is a born leader and learned at a young age the value of hard work and dedication, from her dad. Her mother instilled in her that, “if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything”. It is the echo of that statement that has her running as your candidate for Delegate in District 28.
Her and her family are new to the area and are elated to have made Charles County home. Being new to the area will allow her to offer a fresh perspective and new ideas to District 28. She would love the opportunity to be the voice of the residents in this district so that our slice of Maryland can be noted as a thriving, attractive and safe place for families and business owners.
Marquita is a graduate of Liberty University where she obtained a master’s in Business with a concentration in Management and Leadership. She is employed as a Product Manager and owns a publishing company. She is qualified to be a Delegate in District 28 because she is a resident with a voice in this District. She sees shortcomings and potential and is ready to put in work.
Marquita and her husband Rickey have a 5-year-old daughter. Making the community a place for families to grow is a high priority for her.
Marquita sees the value and potential in Charles County. With your vote she can be your advocate for District 28 so that it continues to be a wonderful place to live and grows into a place to work and play.
